Making art should be fun and creative
I am a self-employed artist who creates books and prints. I photograph women aged 18 and up from all walks of life. Experience is a plus but not required.
What do I look for in a model? I know it when I see it; so I have to see your photos to answer. Beyond looks, someone who is individual and independent. You don't need to be perfect but you must be comfortable with your body. You need relatively smooth skin and to be reasonably fit.
Apply to be an art model in Charleston SC or other locations I work in. If you have experience as a model, I can pay you. If you want training or a portfolio we can work a trade where you get training and photos in exchange for modeling. If you want tips on how to market yourself as a model, I know a lot about what works.
A second-generation artist, I became interested in art through museum visits and other cultural experiences while traveling. My initial training with the figure was life drawing in art school, but photography would become my medium of choice. In the last fifteen years I have photographed a few hundred women.
Nowadays, I create instructional materials for artists and models who are learning nude photography. I strive to create impactful, imaginative photos that celebrate beauty.
