Want to model for me?
As a photographer, I have a passion for collaborating with models and sharing knowledge. I photograph women aged 18 and up from all walks of life. Experience is a plus but not required.
What do I look for in a model? You don’t need to be perfect but you must be comfortable with your body.
Most are size 0 or 2, but some have been size 8. Some are over 5’7″ and most over 5’4″.
You need relatively smooth skin; some things can be covered by makeup, but it needs to be minimal, especially on the face. One or two spots can be photoshopped.
A natural bust is required; no implants. If you have a very fit body with a small chest, that is okay too. Curves are okay as long is your midriff is tight. A thick belly or large thighs are out.
Apply to be an art model in Charleston SC. I train new models and also cast experienced talent. I help selected models develop a portfolio and market themselves at no cost.
I am currently photographing models for a nude art photo book, called Bella Nuda that will be published in 2015.
A second-generation artist, I became interested in art through museum visits and other cultural experiences while traveling. My initial training with the figure was life drawing in art school, but photography would become my medium of choice. In the last fifteen years I have photographed a few hundred women.
Nowadays, I create instructional materials for artists and models who are learning nude photography. I strive to create impactful, imaginative photos that celebrate beauty.
